Shizen-Do Kai is open to any Martial Artist, Traditional or Modern that is interested in the effective application of their chosen Art/s.

We believe that belonging to a Club, Group or Organisation and practising a Martial Art should feel natural. People perform better when things feel natural to them. Our training and teaching is based predominantly on natural body movements and what comes naturally to us as Human Beings. Regardless of lots of technical, intricate Martial Arts training most people when under pressure in a violent situation will resort to what comes naturally to them! By harnessing your body's natural reactions to given situations and incorporating these reactions and movements into our training we are more likely to be successful in our aims to protect one's self or family in such a situation.

 

We also felt that there was a need for a group within the UK Martial Arts fraternity that catered for all Students needs, regardless of age or ability. Your journey through your Martial Arts path should evolve and change. What is good for you to practise as a young Junior Student is not always what you should be practising as a middle aged Adult. We felt that there was a need for a professional organisation that offered something  for all its members.

Shizen-Do Kai offers traditional training as well as catering for the needs of those who wish to activley compete, through our Squad Training Programme members have the opportunity to take their Karate Competition career right to the top.

For Senior members "Self Defence" and "Reality Based Training" are usually the main objective. Applied Karate and Bunkai, effective striking and impact work should be high on the priority! Recently we have seen a major evolution in the way people view and practise Martial Arts. MMA or Mixed Martial Arts has become very popular allowing Adult students the chance to become versed in all aspects of Combat rather than perfecting one specific area. Shizen-Do Kai offers members the opportunity to train in such areas outside of the constraints of Traditional groups yet still with the correct insurance's and professionalism you would expect from such a group.
